Comparison between Internet and World Wide Web
A) INTERNET:
Internet is a massive network of networks which is a networking infrastructure. It is a global system of interconnected computer networks that utilize the standard internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to link networking devices worldwide. Internet was developed first before the World Wide Web. Internet is a network in which any computer can communicate with any other computer as long as both computers are connected to Internet.
B) WORLD WIDE WEB:
World Wide Web is a way of accessing information over the Internet. It is an information-sharing model that is built on top of the Internet. It is a system of hyperlinked documents that can be accessed through the Internet using a web browser (i.e. Chrome & Internet Explorer). World Wide Web is a middleware that uses the HTTP protocol to transmit data. It was developed later and uses the Internet infrastructure. It is a distributed system that contains of layers of software, applications, services of webpages.
